Team sponsorship

The Foundation backs its local soccer team, providing for the team so players can train, compete and develop in community football. In August 2026 one of its players moved on to Venda Football Club.

The Foundation sponsors the Vakhegula Vakhegula team of Makahlule Village, a football side of the community’s elders who play in Mazhaka kit, as part of its commitment to community sport across generations.
Sixteen village teams came together in December 2025, with the tournament linking local football to education and community prizes.

Sixteen teams from villages across Collins Chabane Municipality played over five days. The prize pool linked sport to education, with awards for the champions’ primary school, high school and best Matric learner.

From a borehole in Makahlule Village to school-shoe donations, family housing and flood relief, every project begins with a community need and people working together.
